Having in mind:

diversity boolean no 1 Enables or disables the
automatic antenna selection by the driver
rxantenna integer no (driver default) Specifies the
antenna for receiving, the value may be driver specific, usually it is 1
for the first and 2 for the second antenna. Specifying 0 enables
automatic selection by the driver if supported. This option has no
effect if diversity is enabled
txantenna integer no (driver default) Specifies the
antenna for transmitting, values are identical to rxantenna

and also that while using external antennas with routers that have more
than one antenna such as the tp-link wr841nd or the wr1043nd; if we want
to specify which antenna a 3 antenna  router should use for RX and TX;
how exactly should we proceed ?

Ignore the middle antenna and use one of the other 2 ?

Another question:
For routers like the dlink dir 615 which have 2 antennas do each by
default perform RX and TX or by default (automatic selection) one
performs RX and the other TX ?
