Hi,

services are only started when an app is installed in some linux distributions
like unbuntu and this is a really weired behavior - imho.

You can see all available options like this

/etc/init.d/boot
Syntax: /etc/init.d/boot [command]

Available commands:
        start Start the service
        stop Stop the service
        restart Restart the service
reload Reload configuration files (or restart if that fails)
        enable Enable service autostart
        disable Disable service autostart

Regards,
Peter
