Just to clarify why the hostname not resolving to an address was brought to my attention. Asterisk complains bitterly that it cannot resolve the hostname, but it still operates. I can see how some application may not work outright, or a future version of Asterisk may stop working as a result of this. However, if the hostname not resolving is not in violation of any RFCs, and is generally an acceptable policy, then you can call it nofix :).
