I'm not sure it's correct to simply add these ids: ids starting with ff identify a chip with no onboard eeprom, and the flash should also contain a way to reprogram the pci register so that the device gets the "real" id. At least that's what's done for ath9k devices in the ar71xx platform (and what I tried to do with this, now bitrotten, patch http://patchwork.openwrt.org/patch/1169/)
