Hello again. 
I've done some more testing with a different 2.0 hub... 
Well, it worked. Looks like it's a broken hub, or it 
requires some quirk dwc_otg is not aware of.
It does look more like a hub problem, so I'm just going to
stick to a different hub. 
Anyway, I've just compiled the trunk with the latest changesets, 
that already include dwc_otg. It's compiled as a module now, and...
doesn't work. I just get:

dwc_otg: version 2.72a 24-JUN-2008

And that's all. No more messages whatsoever. I have a strange feeling 
that neither HOST, nor DEVICE mode get eventually enabled. 
Is this a known bug? (I will be investigating further this weekend)
