Hi Dev,

I am writing all the steps:

- I have downloaded backfire repository.

- Did make menuconfig.

- Set all the required config.

- Compiled my image for WNDR3700

After compilation, I got all the standard dirs e.g. build_dir, dl, bin etc. So
what I understand that all the package zips are downloaded in 'dl' directory
and then uncompressed in 'build_dir' and compile from there.

Now I am modifying some source files in
~/backfire/build_dir/linux-ar71xx/compat-wireless-2010-10-19/drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath9k.

I am now recompiling a new image....

- make

Now sometimes this make process do compile my modified files but sometimes it
is taking latest files from 'dl' and the files which I had modified in
build_dir are back to original. I believe it may be related to some flag which
is monitoring timestamp of the files..but I don't know exactly.

Many thanks in advance for your help:)

Kind Regards,
Sushil

Hi,

I am compiling Openwrt after making some modifications in linux wireless driver
files. But sometimes rather than compiling updated files, original files are
compiled and my editor shows a warning that files have been changed outside.

I want to know how I can get rid of this issue.

Many thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,
Sushil Dutt
