Hello.

I am running Backfire 10.03.1-rc4 on an Asus WL-500gP v1 router
(original Broadcom card) and a Fonera 2100 client (builtin Atheros).
Basic AP - STA interaction is fine and reliable.

If I enable WDS, on both nodes, with or without STP, then the connection
is estabilished and terminated soon afterwards, repeatedly.

Log excerpt from Asus (AP):

00:18:84:1c:9d:05 IEEE 802.11: deauthenticated due to local deauth request

Output of wpa_cli on the Fonera:
-x-x-x-
<3>CTRL-EVENT-DISCONNECTED bssid=00:17:31:d6:97:7a reason=0
<3>CTRL-EVENT-BSS-ADDED 16 00:1d:6a:72:08:2d

Is it likely that the following patch deals with this issue?
https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/221222/

What else could it be? Up until rc3 there were other issues with
bridging but at least WDS did not interfere with AP-STA connectivity.

Regards,
Andrea.
