Hi guys I notice that this has been mentioned before on the wiki, but I'm still having a big problem with it.
When I try and build a VirtualBox image, this of course requires grub, however, when I try to build I get the old __stack_chk_fail problem. Now this should be fixed by using -fno-stack-protector in CFLAGS, indeed, this has been added to the makefile. I have modified the grub makefile to ensure this, and can see that it is indeed set when trying to compile the offending files (in stage2), but it makes no difference. This used to work on the old kamikaze build I was using, but no longer I'm afraid. I've spent hours and hours on this now and am a bit stuck.
