By the way, ifplugd compiles and runs fine for me, though the link detection does not seem to fully work for my Dlink DIR-300 (atheros, ip175c switch chip) yet. The vlans are always shown as "link beat detected", but I don't know what would have to be patched for that (ip175c driver? swconfig? ifplugd? kernel-config?). But maybe it's the best to first add ifplugd to the openwrt trunk and then I could fill out a new ticket on trac? Or does somebody already have a quick fix :)?
