Dear all,
I have a question about package version: looking in svn repository (e.g.
madwifi package) I have seen several updates (new patch files,
corrections, etc.) but the version of the package is always the same.
It is easy to install it (trough opkg force option), but in a real
environment I believe that the better solution is to increment the
version for each change into the package. This approach will simplify
the update operation for devices and also permit to identify the exact
software version (after the installation).
Is it possible to change the Makefile version for every change (or
better to correlate the version with the svn revision)?
Thanks,
Andrea
