Hi,

I tried building a transparent bridging firewall from the Kamikaze 8.09 svn
branch. Using kernel 2.6 I can enable ebtables and iptables physdev matching
support, but unfortunately the router (Linksys WRT54GL) crashes regulary even
without using iptables/ebtables at all. It seems that transfering huge files
at high bandwith (> 2.5 MB/s) causes such a high load that the router just
resets.

I tried using kernel 2.4 then and this stops the router from crashing. I can
now transfer files with more than 10 MB/s which is sufficient. Unfortunately
the kernel 2.4 build system seems to lack iptables physdev matching support.
Is there any reason for not including this or can I just download the patch
from the ebtables website and include it in the build?

Is the patch already there and I didn't see it?

Greets,
Alex
