This is a worse problem than I thought - the 2.4 tree doesn't have my card's driver (drivers/usb/serial/sierra.c), only the 2.6 series. That makes it impossible to use one of the currently most common 3G card manufacturer's cards in the system.
Can anyone make a quick point for me where to re-enable PCMCIA for brcm47xx with the 2.6 tree? Driver/tool breakage I can deal with, but figuring out your build system is giving me new headaches.
