Is there anything intrinsically preventing the 'switch' package from being used on platforms other than the Broadcom/MIPS it's currently set to depend on? I have an x86 board with a bcm53xx switch on it that I'd like to try the new kernel modules with, but haven't dug into the code yet to see if it's MIPS-specific.
