Thanks for your confirmation!
While thinking about the purpose of the project I decided to clone the existing
server so the existing clients could use a copy of their OVPN files by just
modifying the port number to connect to.
Good to get it confirmed and I could then continue using the easyrsa3 system on
the main server to creatre new users as needed and it would work also on the new
server.

The issue of a non-starting Ubuntu server is hidden in the firmware of the
Lenovo PC hardware used and in order to get to it I would have to stop the
server and start Windows on it, which is not a simple proposition.
Then I probably need to do something to the grub menu afterwards to make it
autoselect the actual ubuntu server hosting OVPN when starting.
The PC is headless so I would have to installa a monitor and whatnot to get to
Windows.

I have asked about it on the ubuntu list and gotten replies that really make me
not wanting to do that...
It was years ago that I started Windows on it...
