The user wants to automatically disconnect a connection when another
one using a different config is started.
I guess it could be a useful switch ?
No, it's not.
Not everyone wants a single connection to be active at a time. For
example, I right now have three connections to different locations
active -- that won't be possible if we were to second guess and
disconnect active connections.
Interesting, I have multiple OpenVPN servers on different locations and on
Windows 10 I am using the OpenVPN GUI application to connect to them.
I have not been able to have more than one tunnel open at the same time (so I
could reach 2 remote networks).
I thought it to be a built-in limitation of OpenVPN but this response suggests
otherwise.
Please if you can, expand on what is possible and how to accomplish this on
Windows (client side).
My target servers operate on a number of different remote networks with varying
address pools.
Or is the problem that *all* of the servers operate with the *same* tunnel IP
range (the default 10.8.0.x)?
That would explain the problem, I guess...
OpenVPN for Windows definitely supports multiple tunnels, but you need
multiple tun/wintun adapters for this. These can be installed using the
Start menu items.
