Hi,

OK, this is going to sound a bit crazy, but I have been struggling with it for
a few days now with no luck - so putting my craziness aside let me try to
explain ... ;-).

I had OpenVPN working fine, then my MB died - so I replaced it, reinstalled
Windows and OpenVPN (same config files, I had backed them up) ... and no joy. I
can get OpenVPN up and running, no issues there. I have two config files ...
one as a server, one as a client. If I start the OpenVPN service, everything
comes up, and I have the client connection, and the server is sitting there
listening - but the next step is the problem ... :(. I try to bridge the server
to my local LAN (like I did before!) ... but as soon as I do, I lose my local
network (HomeGroup fails, can't even get to other machines as \\machinename).
Delete the bridge, and my local network comes back.

I have a second machine configured the same way, and it works just fine. So I
thought this was an OpenVPN version issue (had installed v2.3.9 a few days
back), so I stepped back to v2.3.8 like on the other machine ... but the same
issue. And the second machine also has a bridge configured, works just fine.

Any thoughts? Anything at all would be much appreciated! I can't keep pulling
my hair out, not enough to spare ... ;-).

Thanks!

... Russell
