Even if exit is not sent, logging in  with a new username should work as a
new connection from same common-name automatically disconnects the old
instance.

I too like "exit" not being sent even with SIGHUP as it allows reconnect
without losing existing TCP sessions through the tunnel and still re-read
the config.
