Definitely!  To modularise the SSL code is really a good step forward for
OpenVPN.  And the documentation is surely needed.  So the quicker your
rebase gets ready, the quicker I can give you a feature branch.  You'll get
a feature branch as this is a rather intrusive code change.

The doxygen patches should be possible to merge into master asap, as that
shouldn't be any core code changes
