With some help from the former port maintainer, I've undeleted security/openvpn-devel in the FreeBSD ports tree and have updated it with a git pull from last week. My goal is to keep a recent snapshot within the FreeBSD ports tree, on a weekly or biweekly basis.
Ideally, the version that makes it to the tree will be stable, but experimental, so care should be taken in use. Historically, the -devel port has been the latest RC from 2.1, and has been nearly production-ready; with this release, that method changes.
