I've narrowed it down a little bit further: It appears that 89.146.224.58 is the OpenVAS feed server. I captured packets and determined that the Greenbone SCAP sync assistant uses port 873 TCP for communication via rsync.
I can ping 89.146.224.58 from my Kali host. However, I cannot telnet in on port 873. My best guess is that 89.146.224.58 is blocking my IP address. What can be done?
