Hello,

When trying to install OpenVAS from standard repositories in Ubuntu
17.10 (64 bit), the below problems were found

1. At some point of running openvas-setup, 'openvas-mkcert-client' is
attempted to run (no such script/program in package). Certificates are
not created, starting services fails. Fixed by manually running
'openvas-manage-certs -a'.

2. openvassd is creating its Unix socket as '/tmp/redis.sock' (? why ?),
while other components expect it at '/var/run/openvassd.sock'. Quick
fixed by creating a symbolic link.

Whom shall I contact to request a more permanent fix for the above?
Also, how do I specify the right path for Unix socket ('openvassd -s'
doesn't list such a configuration option)

Packages/metapackages installed:

openvas 9.0.0
openvas-cli 1.4.5-1
openvas-manager 7.0.2-1
openvas-manager-common 7.0.2-1
openvas-scanner 5.1.1-2

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Konstantin
