There are lots of excellent benchmarking tools in perfkit from Google: https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/PerfKitBenchmarker You can run it on openstack and also set up a static machine for your baremetal servers and compare stats.
It includes Cassandra Stress and a Terrasort benchmark, although I had problems getting those to work properly. You can also apparently run it with Juju.
