I'm doing it manually, over and over and over and .., yeah, you get the point :), again. Every time I get one step closer. And doing this via a PXE boot, using a preseed file, which then calls another script once the machine is installed, and using a preseed file for debconf gives me the possibility to reproduce my results. Every time I get closer to a working system. I got "almost" there yesterday, when I could create an instance. It wouldn't boot because there was some problem with Cinder creation of volumes or some such.. > And i want to install the *MITAKA* version of openstack. Please share the > links. That would be Sid then I assume. At least I'm getting Mitaka after upgrading to Sid and then installing Openstack. I have chosen to install all the control software on ONE (which will then be mirrored onto another, just because I want to learn how to run in a multi-controller setup) physical host. Then have all my other hardware as Compute nodes. If this is a good idea or not, I'm leaving to others to decide/comment on, but it is good enough for me - I don't really need redundancy. I have only one uplink, one network, one power socket in the wall.. If you want to look at what I've been up to so far (do not that it's not even close to actually work!), have a look at https://github.com/FransUrbo/openstack_bladecenter Remember, this is basically just a dumping ground for my thoughts and ideas on this, so no patches, no comments, no bug reports. It leaves a lot to do "between the lines" but it might at least give you some ideas for your own setup. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: http://lists.openstack.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openstack Post to : openstack@lists.openstack.org Unsubscribe : http://lists.openstack.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openstack
