Hi Fabrizio,
Thanks for your reply. I’ve installed OpenStack Kilo on CentOS 7 with KVM and nova-network (alongside nova, glance, keystone, horizon). And I want to add a Compute node with docker 1.6 hypervisor to the first node (I have nova-compute, nova-network and nova-docker on this server). Yep, Glance can recognize docker images. Yesterday, I could successfully download and run tutum/wordpress with OpenStack. But when I want to use my own docker image I receive the following error (surely I can run it with docker run): 2014-09-05 14:12:09.256 16945 INFO nova.compute.claims [-] [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] Claim successful 2014-09-05 14:12:09.354 16945 INFO nova.scheduler.client.report [-] Compute_service record updated for ('compute04', 'compute04') 2014-09-05 14:12:09.493 16945 INFO nova.scheduler.client.report [-] Compute_service record updated for ('compute04', 'compute04') 2014-09-05 14:12:11.213 16945 INFO nova.scheduler.client.report [-] Compute_service record updated for ('compute04', 'compute04') 2014-09-05 14:12:39.291 16945 WARNING novadocker.virt.docker.driver [-] [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] Cannot setup network: Cannot find any PID under container "892d244a9d8e00b5b7847afbef0453659d0dcf01ff561f82a44a7304ad609f38" 2014-09-05 14:12:39.291 16945 TRACE novadocker.virt.docker.driver [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] Traceback (most recent call last): 2014-09-05 14:12:39.291 16945 TRACE novadocker.virt.docker.driver [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/novadocker/virt/docker/driver.py", line 406, in _start_container 2014-09-05 14:12:39.291 16945 TRACE novadocker.virt.docker.driver [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] self._attach_vifs(instance, network_info) 2014-09-05 14:12:39.291 16945 TRACE novadocker.virt.docker.driver [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/novadocker/virt/docker/driver.py", line 214, in _attach_vifs 2014-09-05 14:12:39.291 16945 TRACE novadocker.virt.docker.driver [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] raise RuntimeError(msg.format(container_id)) 2014-09-05 14:12:39.291 16945 TRACE novadocker.virt.docker.driver [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] RuntimeError: Cannot find any PID under container "892d244a9d8e00b5b7847afbef0453659d0dcf01ff561f82a44a7304ad609f38" 2014-09-05 14:12:39.291 16945 TRACE novadocker.virt.docker.driver [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] 2014-09-05 14:12:41.455 16945 ERROR nova.compute.manager [-] [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] Instance failed to spawn 2014-09-05 14:12:41.455 16945 TRACE nova.compute.manager [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] Traceback (most recent call last): 2014-09-05 14:12:41.455 16945 TRACE nova.compute.manager [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/nova/compute/manager.py", line 2442, in _build_resources 2014-09-05 14:12:41.455 16945 TRACE nova.compute.manager [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] yield resources 2014-09-05 14:12:41.455 16945 TRACE nova.compute.manager [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/nova/compute/manager.py", line 2314, in _build_and_run_instance 2014-09-05 14:12:41.455 16945 TRACE nova.compute.manager [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] block_device_info=block_device_info) 2014-09-05 14:12:41.455 16945 TRACE nova.compute.manager [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/novadocker/virt/docker/driver.py", line 448, in spawn 2014-09-05 14:12:41.455 16945 TRACE nova.compute.manager [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] self._start_container(container_id, instance, network_info) 2014-09-05 14:12:41.455 16945 TRACE nova.compute.manager [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/novadocker/virt/docker/driver.py", line 414, in _start_container 2014-09-05 14:12:41.455 16945 TRACE nova.compute.manager [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] instance_id=instance['name']) 2014-09-05 14:12:41.455 16945 TRACE nova.compute.manager [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] InstanceDeployFailure: Cannot setup network: Cannot find any PID under container "892d244a9d8e00b5b7847afbef0453659d0dcf01ff561f82a44a7304ad609f38" 2014-09-05 14:12:41.455 16945 TRACE nova.compute.manager [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] 2014-09-05 14:12:41.457 16945 INFO nova.compute.manager [req-72d9c055-bf3e-4524-bbd5-cb3af28b71bb d59cc6bbcf084bd9908ecb8fb21b1e9a aa66b7aa07cc412ba6d6f0b552e7b037 - - -] [instance: 495dcb5b-1c0f-4bd1-9fb8-31cf07dfe7bd] Terminating instance PS: I've overcome the previously mailed error by running docker container with “/bin/bash” and creating a new image from it and then upload that image to glance.
