Are you talking the OpenStack client in http://docs.openstack.org/icehouse/install-guide/install/apt/content/install_clients.html? I am using icehouse. I am not sure if we need to install all the Openstack clients at this early step? Later, installing glance and cimpute services, the Openstack document installs python-glanceclient and python-novaclient again.
