Hi.

I'm a new of OpenStack and getting started learning it.

I've been reading several documents, e.g., installation guide,
administrator guide, etc, and I finally have doubts about how OpenStack
could be scalable.

According to the architecture design, like
http://docs.openstack.org/security-guide/content/figures/8/static/1aa-network-domains-diagram.png,
Network Node seems that it must be accessed before communicating to
external network.

It means that the Network Node seems having a role for forwarding and even
routing packets so that the centralized design would cause congestion
problem. If every data packets must pass through the Network Node, I think
it is not reasonable design from the point of view of networking.

My questions are;

1. Could multiple Network Nodes be set up in order to decentralize the
traffic and avoid congestion?

2. If I misunderstood about the concept of Network Node, would you explain
about it in detail?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards

Byeong-Gi KIM
