Hi folks, I am following these instructions<http://docs.openstack.org/trunk/openstack-compute/install/yum/content/compute-verifying-install.html> but the State of *nova-manage service list* shows XXX which means there is some issue in time synchronization with NTP. All the services are running on the *same* host which is actually a virtual machine running on a Xen Server.
Here is the output of nova-manange service list : [root@RLD1OPST01 ~]# nova-manage service list Binary Host Zone Status State Updated_At nova-scheduler RLD1OPST01 nova enabled XXX None nova-cert RLD1OPST01 nova enabled XXX None nova-network RLD1OPST01 nova enabled XXX None nova-compute RLD1OPST01 nova enabled XXX None nova-console RLD1OPST01 nova enabled XXX None ntpq outputs that system is synchronized with local clock. [root@RLD1OPST01 ~]# ntpq -pn remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter ============================================================================== 192.168.105.61 .INIT. 16 u - 64 0 0.000 0.000 0.000 120.88.47.10 193.79.237.14 2 u 61 64 17 33.933 19.644 1.869 202.71.140.36 62.245.153.20 3 u - 64 37 31.628 24.737 3.634 *127.127.1.0 .LOCL. 10 l - 64 37 0.000 0.000 0.001 I can't boot an image with compute until the state of services are synchronized. Please suggest. Thank you, -- Ashutosh Narayan http://ashutoshn.wordpress.com/
