True enough.  However, in the case where we've got a demonstrated divergence 
from the spec, we should report that against the client.  I agree that we want 
to support pre-existing tools, but it's less clear that we want to support 
_buggy_ tools.

If Amazon turn out to be resistant to fixing that problem, then we'll obviously 
have to accept that and move on, but we should at least give them a chance to 
respond on that.
