We have a spec covering some of this: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/nova/+spec/ec2-id-compatibilty It's "Essential", assigned to Soren and targeted to diablo-3. I'd love to hear his thoughts on this :) Vish set that spec to "Essential" because the current situation was supposed to be completely broken, but reading you guys, it appears not as broken as expected ?
