I'm only assuming the endpoint wouldn't change for a single user. Is that
wrong? I know the endpoint is constant for Rackspace customers (with the
account number as part of the URL), but what about in general?

The use case I'm talking about would be someone building something that uses
the API for some other purpose and hides it from the end user. For example, if
someone made a Twitpic clone and uploaded everyone's pictures to a single swift
account.
