I believe you use the volume type parameter on the cinder update quota. I
couldn’t find the doc examples but here is help text.
cinder help quota-update
usage: cinder quota-update [--volumes <volumes>] [--snapshots <snapshots>]
[--gigabytes <gigabytes>]
[--volume-type <volume_type_name>]
<tenant_id>
Update the quotas for a tenant.
Positional arguments:
<tenant_id> UUID of tenant to set the quotas for.
Optional arguments:
--volumes <volumes> New value for the "volumes" quota.
--snapshots <snapshots>
New value for the "snapshots" quota.
--gigabytes <gigabytes>
New value for the "gigabytes" quota.
--volume-type <volume_type_name>
Volume type (Optional, Default=None)

public all of the different volume types we have since some are dedicated for

Hello all,
I have a need to restrict a user or tenant to only be able to use a set defined
Cinder volume type. That volume type is tied to separate backends defined in
Cinder. I only want a certain user or tenant to see a defined volume type in
Horizon. Is that possible? I sorted thru the Cinder RBAC settings and unable to
figure out which one would do this, if at all.
Any assistance on this matter would be great!
