TripleO has had some discussion already around a project mascot, and we've settled on the owl logo displayed on tripleo.org and our launchpad org: http://tripleo.org/ https://bugs.launchpad.net/tripleo/ (There is also a hi-res version or SVG around, I just can't find it atm) This was discussed in the community and accepted here: http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/openstack-dev/2016-March/089043.html Which was in turn based on a previous design discussed here: http://lists.openstack.org/pipermail/openstack-dev/2015-September/075649.html So, I think it's likely (unless anyone objects) we'll stick with that current owl theme for our official mascot. Overall I like the idea of encouraging official mascots/logos for projects, quite a few have done so informally and I think it's a fun way to reinforce project/team identity within the OpenStack community.
