Unfortunately the 15th is bank holidays in some European countries and
at least in Italy most people organize their holidays around those days.
I will try to change my plans and do my best to attend.
For reference, Assumption (Aug 15) is a nationwide public holiday in the
following countries in Europe:
Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy,
Lithuania, Luxembourg, Republic of Macedonia, Malta, Republic of
Moldova, Monaco, Poland (Polish Army Day), Portugal, Romania, Slovenia,
and Spain.
Beyond people generally organizing summer vacation around that date,
it's also peak-season for European travel, which can make flight prices
go up :)
But then, no date is perfect.
