We are buzzed to present this week's subteam report for Ironic. As usual, this is pulled directly from the Ironic whiteboard[0] and formatted. Bugs (dtantsur) =============== - Stats (diff with 04.01.2016): - Ironic: 147 bugs (-4) + 158 wishlist items (+9). 14 new (-9), 99 in progress (+7), 1 critical (+1), 17 high (+3) and 11 incomplete (+2) - Inspector: 15 bugs + 16 wishlist items (+1). 0 new, 7 in progress (+2), 0 critical (-1), 8 high (+1) and 0 incomplete - Nova bugs with Ironic tag: 26. 1 new, 0 critical, 0 high - Important issues: - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ironic/+bug/1532174 gate-ironicclient-dsvm-functional failed after moving ironic to devstack plugin Network isolation (Neutron/Ironic work) (jroll) =============================================== - very close, seems to work, needs reviews Manual cleaning (rloo) ====================== - Have 2 +2's, need +A: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/247285/ & https://review.openstack.org/#/c/247695/ Live upgrades (lucasagomes, lintan) =================================== - Propose a patch to seperate the configs for api and conductor seperately, this will help users to run Ironic with multi-conductors easily - https://review.openstack.org/#/c/261443 Parallel tasks with futurist (dtantsur) ======================================= - WIP posted: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/264720/ (dsvm passes, unit tests not updated yet) - required change in futurist: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/265360/ - nice-to-have change in futurist: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/264250/ Testing/Quality (jlvillal/lekha/krtaylor) ========================================= - Work continues on fixing grenade testing. jlvillal has been working on setting up a local testing environment. Ran into some issues like: - httplib2 not understanding CIDR addressing in 'no_proxy' (tempest) https://github.com/jcgregorio/httplib2/issues/323 - devstack halting while runniing apt-get. Patch submitted to fix issue. https://bugs.launchpad.net/devstack/+bug/1532080 - Was able to run the ironic tempest job successfuly, but the grenade job is failing in a different area. Investigation continues. - mimic was added to the global-requirements file. So it can now be used in Ironic. Inspector (dtansur) =================== - fixed gate issues related to ironic switch to a devstack plugin - switching to IPA as a main ramdisk: - in inspector: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/263730/ - in project-config: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/264168/ Bifrost (TheJulia) ================== - Bifrost gate is presently broken due to infra mysql module upgrade which had a subtle but adverse change for "bare" nodepool test instances - https://review.openstack.org/#/c/265348/ .........
