Hi,
I think it is better to have "Open source enabled Virtual Router", in
OpenStack supported by "Cloud Router".
With open virtual router available, many of the L3 functionality/routing
functionality can be easily integrated in cloud for overlay network.

keshava

Subject: RE: [Devel] Cloudrouter as a L3 plugin in Openstack neutron ?

Hi,
I agree with this idea,
I think there should be open sourced router (like cloud router) available in
OpenStack will be of greater advantage.
Currently OpenStack is in the need of such "Open virtual router".
If Cloud router is available in the OpenStack OVS enabled server, many of the
L3 functionality can be added/enhanced.

keshava

This is an idea for now. But I was wondering if it makes sense to start
pushing/promoting
including CloudRouter as a neutron agent in Openstack for routing needs
similar to this.

Thoughts?
