Within an order of magnitude anyway. The difference is that most
Python module upstream authors do their own packaging for PyPI (for
better or worse), but few are also package maintainers for Debian
and Red Hat so distro packages have a tendency to lag PyPI even if
you ignore distro release cycle induced delays.
