Or did I miss something?? > If I understand correctly what you want to do is to be able to create two network sharing the same vlan (i.e): neutron net-create net1 --provider:network_type=vlan --provider:segmentation_id=1 neutron net-create net2 --provider:network_type=vlan --provider:segmentation_id=1 in this case the mac_address uniqueness is not preserved as neutron enforces those per networks and doesn't look at the segmentation_id part at all. It seems to me that you want something that allows you to share a network between specific tenants only?
