this is a pleasant surprise of a positive outcome.

In my opinion, these comments about Lennart are quite out of line.
Regardless of whether or not that individual is a member of the
OpenStack community, there are constructive ways to voice your
opinions about systemd without resorting to these types of personal
comments.

Totally fair, and I apologize.

systemd is an open source driven community project. I'd suggest
directing your energy at those technology choices and working towards
what you see as improvements in those choices instead of making
comments such as what you've done here.

While minor (with some thinly veiled praise sprinkled in), I'm a bit
shocked no one else has called attention to your response. It is not
friendly, considerate, and above all else -- it is not respectful.

You are totally right. It is an unacceptable way for me to have expressed myself. I will endeavor to do better in the future - and although I doubt he's reading this list at the moment, I do earnestly apologize to Lennart as well. Personally directed statements such as that are, in fact, totally inappropriate.
