Note that "affiliation" in the Foundation membership sense may completely differ from the company you are currently working for. Those are different things. For example, the bylaws say contractors are "affiliated" to any company they worked for which gave them more than $60K of revenue over the last 12 months. They might be contributing patches on behalf of a new company, but until it gives them 60K$ worth, they are not "affiliated" to that company. Contractors can also be affiliated to more than one company at a time, if they are lucky. Other rules affect board members of multiple companies. Affiliation is defined by rules in the bylaws to ensure director diversity.
