What do you mean by "edit"?  A CA is free to use whatever subset
of the requested extensions it deems appropriate, and to add
extensions that were requested, so you should not need to "edit"
the CSR.  Since CSRs are signed with the requestor's public key,
they cannot be modified by anyone else (without invalidating the
"proof of possession" signature).
