Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I did a little searching and looked at
the FAQ, and didn't find an answer, so hope you all won't mind if I post it
here.

I want to use TLS with an AES cypher to secure client/server communications for
my application. I will be building versions of my app for both Windows and
Linux. On Windows I might use the Schannel API which in turn I believe will
use CNG for encryption. I want to choose the right libraries to use on Linux
for maximum interoperability. Would openssl be a good choice?

Thanks in advance for any hints.

Duncan
