Just curious, but how would one reply to an e-mail thread when all one
has is a HTML rendering that does not include the Message-ID: header
(and that is assuming one has a MUA that lets the user manipulate the
References: header, which is exceedingly rare these days)?
For comparison, the bug tracker used by the Debian project assigns a
dedicated follow-up e-mail address for each bug, thus sidestepping
the issue.
P.S.
Your copy of RT is configured to always prompt for login and not tell
casual visitors that they can login as "guest"/"guest".
