What do you want to say ?

If you have one system that serves several addresses
(like mydomain.tdl, mail.mydomain.tdl, owa.mydomain.tdl)
you use the subjectAltName extension.

Wildcard certificates (*.mydomain.tdl) are AFAIK deprecated.
