I found the "make report" and ran that on a pristine copy of my tarball with this result: OpenSSL self-test report:
OpenSSL version: 0.9.7g Last change: Fixes for newer kerberos headers. NB: the casts are nee... Options: no-krb5 OS (uname): Linux pandora 2.4.31 #2 Wed Feb 14 09:37:03 PST 2007 i686 unknown OS (config): i686-whatever-linux2 Target (default): linux-pentium Target: dist Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release) Test passed. Of course the problem is I'm building this on a bigger, faster box for a 386 in a chrooted environment, saving copious time. I need to stuff in some parameters using Configure, with a little edit of m486 to linux-elf of course, and Configure messes it up. Can anybody help be diagnose what Configure is doing wrong, and how to fix it? -- Paul Rogers paulgrog...@fastmail.fm http://www.xprt.net/~pgrogers/ Rogers' Second Law: "Everything you do communicates."
