Yes, it is the same executable on all the machines. I missed out some information in this mail, which I included in the next one. Here are some more details:
The server works fine on one machine, in the debug environment. However it fails on the other with the following error: FIPS_R_UNSUPPORTED_PLATFORM "unsupported platform". (Indicating that the validity of the digest test is unknown for the current platform.) Could this be the same error condition causing the server crash in release build? Logs are not created before the server is loaded completely, hence I am not able to figure out the error condition while running it in release build. The same application works fine, if I run it in NON-FIPS mode. All the machines are 32 bits machines, Windows XP, RAM 1 or 2 GB. I would like to run the fips-test-suite on these machines as Steve suggested. The error it gives is: "Error 1053, Failed to > launch the application in a timely fashion" or sometimes: "Could not start the > requested service. Error code sytem-specific errorcode - 1". Is this the same executable on all machines, working on some and not on others? Or is this different executables? I can't think of any reason the test would work on some machines and fail on others using the same executable.
