Yes, it is the same executable on all the machines.

I missed out some information in this mail, which I included in the next one. 
Here are some more details:

The server works fine on one machine, in the debug environment. However it 
fails on the other with the following error:

FIPS_R_UNSUPPORTED_PLATFORM "unsupported platform". (Indicating that the 
validity of the digest test is unknown for the current platform.)

Could this be the same error condition causing the server crash in release 
build? Logs are not created before the server is loaded completely, hence I am 
not able to figure out the error condition while running it in release build.

The same application works fine, if I run it in NON-FIPS mode. All the machines 
are 32 bits machines, Windows XP, RAM 1 or 2 GB.

I would like to run the fips-test-suite on these machines as Steve suggested.

Is this the same executable on all machines, working on some and not on
others? Or is this different executables?

I can't think of any reason the test would work on some machines and fail on
others using the same executable.
