Would you want to drive over a bridge that was built by a newbie engineer
who didn't think it was important to have an expert check over his design?

Newbies can only make secure products by accident. That's is the cold, hard,
honest truth.

There is nothing stupid about not knowing how to do something properly. What
is stupid is to do it anyway and then tell others they can rely on it.

What you are doing is equivalent to inventing your own bridge design. Sure,
you can do that for fun. But you should know better than to tell other
people they should drive over it.
