Hi, this is a question from a total newbie of OpenSSL. I am trying to install OpenSSL on my PC but it won't work. By the way I am using Windows XP Professional and Visual Studio 2005. I downloaded ActivePerl 5.8.8 and MASM. I think all system and environment variables are correctly set. And the first two commands (called from the VS commando prompt)
> perl Configure VC-WIN32 > ms\do_masm work. But when it comes to > nmake -f ms\ntdll.mak then I get this error: Microsoft (R) Program Maintenance Utility Version 8.00.50727.42 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Building OpenSSL link /nologo /subsystem:console /opt:ref /dll /out:out32dll\libeay32.dll /def:ms/LIBEAY32.d f @C:\DOKUME~1\Isabelle\LOKALE~1\Temp\nm90.tmp LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'link.obj' NMAKE : fatal error U1077: '"C:\Programme\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\BIN\link.EXE"' : return code '0x49d' Stop. Can someone tell me what i can do to solve this problem?
