You got it right. I was asking if SSL can be used from within kernel.

I have a tunnel created within kernel space. I want to secure all
communication over it. Thus I need SSL in kernel.

What options do I have?
 - Port OpenSSL library code to kernel space and compile my module with it?
 - Does the routines in kernel suffice the need?
