Hello I’m trying to build openSSL on a Windows 2003 Server
box. Its SP1, and I’m using Visual C++ as the compiler. I’ve tried several versions of openssl including
0.9.8b, 0.9.8a, and 0.9.7j, unfortunately, I’m getting the same error on
all versions. Can anyone help me figure out whats causing it? I’ve
googled the problem and searched the archives. I’ve found a few
similar messages but nothing that has helped. When I run the nmake –f ms\ntdll.mak, it works for a
bit then comes back with: cversion.c .\crypto\cversion.c(105) : error C2220: warning treated as
error - no 'object' f ile generated .\crypto\cversion.c(105) : warning C4129: 'o' : unrecognized
character escape se quence NMAKE : fatal error U1077: 'cl' : return code '0x2' Stop. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks Eriks Richters, CISSP |
