I don't know what your need actually is , the only
impediment to using sha1-512 is that the compiler has
to suppor the 64 bit long long type. Some embedded
systems may not have this support.

Other than that, you can easily follow the code. I
have seen one implementation in the OpenBSD IPsec
source tree too. There are plenty other.
